We developed a VR-based e-scooter simulator to provide a safe and controlled environment for training and evaluating e-scooter riders.

Abstract

This project consists of Unity-based electric scooter simulator that blends realistic driving physics, traffic and pedestrian interaction, and hardware integration for immersive training and evaluation. By leveraging Arduino-based serial communication, the platform enables custom physical controllers — such as handlebars, throttle, and braking systems — to seamlessly interact with the simulation for fully immersive, hardware-linked training sessions.
